SanProCare
The latest generation of German made down proof fabrics are now made with a special process called SanProCare®. This ensures that the famous breathability of cotton is enhanced up to 100%. This is a mechanical process, so no chemicals have been added to the cotton. In fact, these fabrics are notable chemical free.



SanProCare cotton has been independently proven to be more breathable than regular cotton down proof fabrics by the Testing Institute of Germany.

Oeko-Tex
All our German made fabrics have achieved the Oeko-Tex designation. These fabrics have been rigorously tested to ensure that there are no harmful chemicals. The "International Association for Research & Testing in the Field of Textile Ecology" or Oeko-Tex for short, is an independent agency that has raised the environmental standards of member mills, and vastly improved the ecological standards of fabric. In a nutshell, the finest tickings are extremely light and airy, and they are so soft that the duvet will settle much more closely around the sleeper, cuddling them in a warm cloud. Yet, they are completely down proof, and remain that way for decades, even through several cleanings. Cheaper tickings will be stiffer, heavier, contain chemicals, and not be as breathable, and most distressing of all to the customer; will start to leak too early in the life of the duvet, especially after cleaning.
